Your Committee on Health and Human Services, to which was referred Governor's Message No. 17, submitting for study and consideration the nomination of:

POLICY ADVISORY BOARD FOR ELDER AFFAIRS

WARREN G. HAIGHT, for a term to expire June 30, 2005;

begs leave to report as follows:

Your Committee received testimony in support of the nomination from the Executive Office on Aging.

Warren G. Haight received an economics degree from Stanford University and is a Naval Reserve veteran. He has extensive experience in corporate management and presently owns and operates a company that develops residential and commercial property. The nominee has a long history of volunteerism through his involvement with numerous community and business organizations in the State, and is familiar with issues facing the elderly through his previous work with the Policy Advisory Board for Elder Affairs.

As affirmed by the record of votes of the members of your Committee on Health and Human Services that is attached to this report, your Committee, after full consideration of the background, character, experience, and qualifications of the nominee, has found the nominee to be qualified for the position to which nominated and recommends that the Senate advise and consent to the nomination.
