The purpose of this informational briefing is to address the numerous towing complaints received regarding towing companies, and to discuss the Motor Carrier Law. The following Departments will be providing testimony:

1. Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs, Office of Consumer Protection

a. Thomas Mana Moriarty, Executive Director of the Office of Consumer Protection

b. Melissa Enright, Representative of the Office of Consumer Protection

2. Public Utilities Commission (PUC)

a. Frank Anno – Acting Chief of the Consumer Affairs and Compliance Section (CACS)

b. Russell Henna – Investigator of the CACS

3. Department of Transportation

a. Robin Shishido – Deputy Director for Highways

b. Other Representatives from DOT

No public testimony will be accepted.
