The purpose of this informational briefing is to provide the Committee with an overview of the Hazard Mitigation Planning Process engaged in by county and state emergency management agencies and an after-action report regarding recent tsunami and wildfire threats from the Department of Transportation and HI-EMA and how lessons learned from these recent events will inform future emergency management responses and mitigation plans.

Questions by Committee members will be permitted throughout the briefing. For members of the public who would like to attend the briefing in person, a photo ID is required for entrance to the State Capitol. Building hours are 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
