The
purpose of this Informational Briefing is to receive information about the Maui
Wildfires response on the two-year anniversary of the wildfires. Invitees will
discuss findings on the health and well-being of community members as recovery
continues, lessons learned, and future initiatives and projects as Hawai‘i
continues to build out its wildfire prevention, mitigation, and response plans.

3. Nadeza Ortega, Co-Author of “Equity in Flames: The Impact of the Lahaina Wildfire Disaster on Gender Equality & Filipino Women”;
4. Dorothy Booth, Hawai‘i State Fire Marshal;
5. Closing Remarks
Questions by Committee members will be permitted throughout the briefing. For members of the public who would like to attend the briefing in person, a photo ID is required for entrance to the State Capitol. Building hours are 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
