The purpose of this informational briefing is to receive an update from the Hawaiʻi State Department of Health (DOH) Adult Mental Health Division and the Hawaiʻi State Hospital (HSH) leadership regarding the HSH patient census, strategies for capacity management, and collaborative solutions, particularly those addressing patients under Chapter 704, Hawaiʻi Revised Statutes (HRS).
