Invasive species are a globally growing issue contributing to species loss, threatening agriculture and fisheries, spreading disease, and creating less resilient communities. The purpose of this informational briefing is to provide an overview of biosecurity efforts in Hawaiʻi through highlighting the collaborative efforts among State, Federal, and partner organizations to manage the risks posed by invasive species. This briefing will also provide updates from the State agencies working together to ensure Hawaiʻi is better protected from invasive species.
