Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred S.B. No. 1567, S.D. 1, H.D. 1, entitled:

"A BILL FOR AN ACT RELATING TO THE CLASSIFICATION AND COMPENSATION SYSTEMS,"

begs leave to report as follows:

The purpose of this measure is to:

(1) Require the Department of Human Resources Development to conduct a comprehensive review of the classification and compensation systems for state executive agencies;

(2) Allow the Department of Human Resources Development to contract a third-party to assist with the completion of the review; and

(3) Appropriate funds to support the completion of the review.

Your Committee received testimony in support of this measure from the Department of Human Resources Development and Holomua Collaborative.

As affirmed by the record of votes of the members of your Committee on Finance that is attached to this report, your Committee is in accord with the intent and purpose of S.B. No. 1567, S.D. 1, H.D. 1, and recommends that it pass Third Reading.
