RELATING TO TRANSPORTATION.

Specifies that an engineering study is not required to be considered when reducing the maximum speed limit within ten miles per hour of the current speed limit for that road.  Effective 7/1/3000.  (HD1)

RELATING TO TRANSPORTATION.

Requires a county with a population of two hundred fifty thousand or less, in collaboration with the Department of Transportation to establish a Summer Streets Pilot Program that closes vehicular traffic and repurposes roads for pedestrian and cyclist use, outdoor events, and other community-driven activities.  Requires a participating county to submit an initial proposal to the Director of Transportation.  Requires reports to the Legislature.  Appropriates funds.  Repeals on 6/30/2027.  Effective 7/1/3000.  (HD1)

RELATING TO CIVIL IDENTIFICATION CARDS.

Makes the issuance or renewal of a civil identification card free of charge.  Repeals the civil identification card fee special fund and lapses any unexpended and unencumbers funds into the general fund.  Effective 6/30/3000.  (HD1)

RELATING TO TRANSPORTATION SERVICES.

Authorizes the use of motorcoaches, small buses, and vans for school bus services if certain conditions are met.  Effective 7/1/3000.  (HD1)

RELATING TO TRANSPORTATION.

Increases the maximum value of capital advancement contracts that may be executed by the Department of Transportation without legislative approval.  Repeals the requirement for the Department of Transportation to obtain legislative approval through concurrent resolution for capital advancement contracts greater than $2,000,000.  Increases the total aggregate value of capital advancement contracts that the Department of Transportation may enter into in a fiscal year.  Establishes certain reporting requirements related to capital advancement contracts.  Effective 7/1/3000.  (HD1)

RELATING TO LICENSE PLATES.

Authorizes the counties to adopt rules for the use of electronic license plates and for intentionally obscuring a license plate with a cover or shield.  Prohibits the use of license plate flipping devices.  Establishes minimum and maximum fines.  Effective 7/1/3000.  (HD1)
