RELATING TO REMEDIES.

Clarifies the applicability of the statute of repose to apply to contract, tort, and statutory claims.  Clarifies the required contents of a notice of claim of a construction defect served on a contractor.  Requires claimants to comply with provisions of the Contractor Repair Act before proceeding with or joining in a class action.  Clarifies the process and time frame by which a claimant may accept or reject a contractor's offer to settle and authorize repairs.  Effective 7/1/3000.  (SD1)

RELATING TO SHORELINE MANAGEMENT AREAS.

Allows single-family residences that are less than 3,500 square feet in floor area and not part of a larger development, regardless of development valuation, to be eligible for a special management area minor permit.  Increases the valuation of development that determines the necessity of a special management area minor permit or special management area use permit to $750,000 and requires that amount to be adjusted every five years for inflation.  Effective 7/1/3000.  (SD1)

RELATING TO THE GREENHOUSE GAS SEQUESTRATION TASK FORCE.

Repeals the Greenhouse Gas Sequestration Task Force.  Effective 7/1/3000.  (HD1)

      Status & Testimony

RELATING TO TRANSPORTATION.

Prohibits individuals under 15 years of age from riding a class 3 electric bicycle.  Amends the age requirement for helmet use from 16 to 18 years of age.  Allows use of electric bicycles on public sidewalks, subject to certain conditions.  Establishes rules for electric bicycle operation.  Prohibits the use of mopeds and electric motorcycles on any path or road designated for bicycle use.  Establishes definitions.  Prohibits individuals under 18 years of age from operating an electric motorcycle or motor-driven cycle.  Effective 1/1/2050.  (SD1)
