RELATING TO COFFEE LABELING. Clarifies the labeling and advertising requirements for coffee that is grown and processed in the State. Defines "regional origin". Effective 7/1/2050. (SD1)

RELATING TO PHARMACY. Beginning 1/1/2026, requires pharmacy technicians to be registered with and obtain a certificate of registration from the Board of Pharmacy. Imposes a duty on pharmacists-in-charge to report violations conducted by registered pharmacy technicians. Specifies that supervising registered pharmacists are responsible for the actions of registered pharmacy technicians and pharmacy interns. Effective 12/31/2050. (SD1)

RELATING TO TRAVEL INSURANCE. Establishes a new regulatory framework for the sale of travel insurance in the State, including licensing and registration requirements for limited lines travel insurance producers. Effective 10/1/3000. (SD1)

RELATING TO LABELING REQUIREMENTS. Prohibits the sale of any processed food item with raw ahi product as an ingredient by retail establishments without a label that states the country where the ahi was landed. Effective 7/1/2050. (SD1)

RELATING TO HEALTH CARE. Clarifies that a physician may practice at an organized ambulatory health care facility even if the physician does not have hospital privileges at a licensed hospital in the same geographic location as the ambulatory facility. Provides that a written transfer agreement is not required to transfer a patient from an organized ambulatory health care facility to a licensed hospital. Requires the Department of Health to conduct an evaluation of the benefits and impacts of allowing physicians to practice at an organized ambulatory health care facility without hospital privileges for a duration of at least twelve months. Applies to counties with populations of less than five hundred thousand. Requires report to the Legislature. Effective 7/1/3000. Sunsets 6/30/2030. (SD1)

RELATING TO PRESCRIPTION DRUGS. Allows a patient who has been seen in person by a health care provider who is in the same medical group as the prescribing provider authorized pursuant to section 329-33, HRS, to be prescribed an opiate prescription for a three-day supply or less via telehealth. RELATING TO MOTOR CARRIERS. Exempts community-based organizations engaged in community-based economic development providing transportation services from the Motor Carrier Law under certain circumstances. Sunsets 7/1/2028. Effective 7/1/3000. (SD1)
