Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred S.B. No. 1422, S.D. 1, H.D. 1, entitled:

"A BILL FOR AN ACT RELATING TO NON-GENERAL FUNDS OF THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH,"

begs leave to report as follows:

The purpose of this measure is to:

(1) Increase the amount of fees collected for copies of certain records issued by the Department of Health that are deposited in the Vital Statistics Improvement Special Fund; and

(2) Repeal the Birth Defects Special Fund.

Your Committee received testimony in support of this measure from the Department of Health.

As affirmed by the record of votes of the members of your Committee on Finance that is attached to this report, your Committee is in accord with the intent and purpose of S.B. No. 1422, S.D. 1, H.D. 1, and recommends that it pass Third Reading.
