Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred S.B. No. 1304, S.D. 2, H.D. 1, entitled:

"A BILL FOR AN ACT RELATING TO PESTICIDE DRIFT MONITORING,"

begs leave to report as follows:

The purpose of this measure is to appropriate funds to the Department of Agriculture for the continued monitoring of pesticide drift in schools statewide.

Your Committee received testimony in support of this measure from the Office of Hawaiian Affairs; Office of the Mayor of the County of Maui; Hawaiʻi Farm Bureau; Hawaiʻi Farmers Union; Land Use Research Foundation of Hawaii; and one individual. Your Committee received comments on this measure from the Department of Agriculture; University of Hawaiʻi System; and Hawaiʻi Alliance for Progressive Action.

As affirmed by the record of votes of the members of your Committee on Finance that is attached to this report, your Committee is in accord with the intent and purpose of S.B. No. 1304, S.D. 2, H.D. 1, and recommends that it pass Third Reading.
