Your Committee on Public Safety, to which was referred H.R. No. 90 entitled:

"HOUSE RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE GOVERNOR TO ISSUE A PROCLAMATION DESIGNATING HAWAII AS A PURPLE HEART STATE ON AUGUST 7, 2025,"

begs leave to report as follows:

The purpose of this measure is to honor service members who have been injured or killed in military service to the United States and received a Purple Heart, with a special state day designation.

Your Committee received testimony in support of this measure from two individuals.

As affirmed by the record of votes of the members of your Committee on Public Safety that is attached to this report, your Committee concurs with the intent and purpose of H.R. No. 90 and recommends its adoption.
