Your Committee on Transportation, to which was referred H.C.R. No. 203 entitled:

"HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION URGING THE COUNTY OF MAUI TO PRIORITIZE THE DEVELOPMENT AND PLANNING OF THE NORTHERN TERMINUS OF THE KIHEI NORTH-SOUTH COLLECTOR ROAD,"

begs leave to report as follows:

The purpose of this measure is to urge the County of Maui to prioritize the development and planning of the northern terminus of the Kihei North-South Collector Road.

Your Committee did not receive any written testimony on this measure.

Your Committee finds that population projections indicate that the Kīhei-Mākena area in Maui is anticipated to experience significant growth, further exacerbating traffic congestion and highlighting the urgent need for comprehensive infrastructure planning and the completion of the North-South Collector Road.

As affirmed by the record of votes of the members of your Committee on Transportation that is attached to this report, your Committee concurs with the intent and purpose of H.C.R. No. 203 and recommends its adoption.
