Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred H.B. No. 548, H.D. 1, entitled:

"A BILL FOR AN ACT RELATING TO THE ACQUISITION OF THE SAINT FRANCIS SCHOOL CAMPUS FOR THE UNIVERSITY OF HAWAII AT MANOA,"

begs leave to report as follows:

The purpose of this measure is to:

(1) Authorize the Board of Regents of the University of Hawaii to issue revenue bonds for the acquisition of the former Saint Francis School campus located at 2707 Pamoa Road in Honolulu; and

(2) Appropriate funds for the acquisition.

Your Committee received testimony in support of this measure from the University of Hawaiʻi System and seven individuals.

As affirmed by the record of votes of the members of your Committee on Finance that is attached to this report, your Committee is in accord with the intent and purpose of H.B. No. 548, H.D. 1, and recommends that it pass Third Reading.
