     Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred H.B. No. 108, H.D. 2, entitled:

 

"A BILL FOR AN ACT RELATING TO INTOXICATING LIQUOR,"

 

begs leave to report as follows:

 

     The purpose of this measure is to allow the direct shipment of beer and distilled spirits by certain liquor licensees.

 

     Your Committee received testimony in support of this measure from the County of Hawaiʻi Department of Liquor Control; Hana Koa Brewing Co.; Maui Brewing Co.; Big Island Brewhaus; Mana Up; Kauai Beer Company; Brewers Association; Lanikai Brewing Co.; Kuleana Spirits, Inc.; Kōloa Rum Co.; Ola Brew; Kauaʻi Island Brewing Company, LLC; Ko Hana Distillers; Maui Chamber of Commerce; Hawaii Transportation Association; and four individuals.  Your Committee received testimony in opposition to this measure from the Hawaii Food Industry Association and Hawaii Liquor Wholesalers Association.

 

     As affirmed by the record of votes of the members of your Committee on Finance that is attached to this report, your Committee is in accord with the intent and purpose of H.B. No. 108, H.D. 2, and recommends that it pass Third Reading.
