A BILL FOR AN ACT

relating to the office of the ombudsman.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

SECTION 1. Section 96-1, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is amended by amending subsection (b) to read as follows:

"(b) "Administrative act" includes any action, omission, decision, recommendation, practice, or procedure, but does not include the preparation or presentation of legislation. "Administrative act" includes the lease of state lands, including non-agricultural park lands under chapter 166E."

SECTION 2. New statutory material is underscored.

SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
