HOUSE CONCURRENT
RESOLUTION
REQUESTING THE CITY AND COUNTY OF HONOLULU TO CONSTRUCT A NEW SWIMMING POOL COMPLEX.
WHEREAS, public health is a high priority; and
WHEREAS, recreation facilitates a healthy public; and
WHEREAS, public swimming pools promote both recreation and a sense of community; and
WHEREAS, the west side of the island of Oahu needs a swimming pool complex that accommodates it population; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the House of Representatives of the Thirty-third Legislature of the State of Hawaii, Regular Session of 2025, the Senate concurring, that the Honolulu City Council is requested to provide appropriate funding and approve the construction of a new swimming pool complex that:
(1) Includes an Olympic-sized swimming pool in which citizens may exercise and train;
(2) Includes a jetted hot tub;
(3) Includes a pool designed solely for children; and
(4) Is located in the Forty-First House District.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor of the City and County of Honolulu is requested to approve the foregoing capital improvement project; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that certified copies of this Concurrent Resolution be transmitted to the Chairperson of the Honolulu City Council and Mayor of the City and County of Honolulu.
