The purpose of this informational briefing is to discuss the mechanics of the record clearance process in Hawai'i and learn about the best practices used by other states. The briefing will include presentations by the two entities involved in the expungement and sealing of criminal records – The Department of the Attorney General and the Judiciary. It will also feature experts from outside of Hawai'i who have worked with other states on their state-initiated record clearance initiatives.
