The following measure(s) were previously heard in their respective subject matter committees:
RELATING TO BURIAL COUNCILS. Allows any burial council member whose term has expired to continue in office as a holdover member until the member's reappointment to a second term is confirmed or a successor is nominated and appointed. Prohibits holdover members from holding office beyond the end of the fourth regular session of the legislature following the expiration of the member's term of office. Allows burial councils to allow council members and the public to participate in meetings remotely, using interactive conference technology. Effective 7/1/3000. (SD1)

RELATING TO LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS. Requires law enforcement agencies and the Law Enforcement Standards Board to consult the National Decertification Index and report certain information related to a law enforcement officer's certification status to the Index. Takes effect 7/1/2025. (SD1)

RELATING TO FIRE PREVENTION. Increases the maximum fine for violations of the fire protection laws. Specifies that each day a violation exists or continues to exist shall constitute a distinct and separate offense. Raises the criminal penalty for the offense of arson in the fourth degree to a class C felony if the offense was committed during the time period and within the geographic area in which a red flag warning was in effect. Provides that the state of mind requirement is not applicable to the fact that the red flag warning was in effect and that the actor is strictly liable with respect to the attendant circumstance that the red flag warning was in effect. RELATING TO SEXUAL EXPLOITATION. Establishes safe harbor protections for survivors of sexual exploitation who seek medical or law enforcement assistance. Effective 7/1/3000. (SD1)

RELATING TO LAW ENFORCEMENT. Establishes as a goal of the State the increased representation of female law enforcement officers in the State by 2030. Requires each law enforcement agency to recruit law enforcement officers from diverse backgrounds. Effective 7/1/3000. (HD1)

RELATING TO PESTICIDES. Replaces representatives from the sugar and pineapple industries with representatives of the coffee and diversified agriculture industries on the Advisory Committee on Pesticides. Effective 7/1/3000. (SD1)
