The purpose of this informational briefing is for the Department of Health, Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation to update the public and the committee on the implementation of Behavioral Health centers and hospitals, intentions for the Kāneʻohe State Hospital, and utilization of the centers and hospitals for mentally ill criminal defendants. This informational briefing will focus on crisis-stabilization and diversion to treatment from theory to reality.

a. The state plan for proposed behavioral health centers on the islands (Department of Health)

II. Treatment:

a. Updates regarding the Kāneʻohe State Hospital (Kaneohe State Hospital Administration)

b. Criminal Mental Health proposals

i. Governor Green's Senior Advisor for Mental Health

ii. Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation
