A BILL FOR AN ACT
RELATING TO STATE CAPITOL TOURS.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
"§21G- State capitol tours program. There shall be established within the public access room a state capitol
tours program to be administered and facilitated by the office, and which shall
include in-person and self-guided walking tours as well as virtual tours of the
Hawaii state capitol building; provided that:
(1) Paper brochures and information about the
virtual tour website shall also be made available to the public whether on an in-person
guided tour or a self-guided walking tour; and
(2) Administration
of virtual tours of the capitol shall include maintenance and regular updating
of a virtual tour website."
SECTION 2. There is appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii the sum of $ or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2023-2024 and the same sum or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2024-2025 for establishment of one full-time equivalent (1.0 FTE) position within the legislative reference bureau's public access room to conduct and host capitol tours.
The sums appropriated shall be expended by the legislative reference bureau for the purposes of this Act.
SECTION 3. New statutory material is underscored.
SECTION 4. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2112.
