relating to capital improvement projects for the benefit of the sixteenth senatorial district.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
1. Aiea Intermediate School.
A. Plans, design and construction for a work and play area to support physical education classes and recess periods.

B. Plans, design, and construction for a solar covering of the lower parking lot.

2. Momilani Elementary School.
A. Plans, design, and construction to complete the "Hall of HONOR" multi-story building; ground and site improvements; and equipment and appurtenances.

SECTION 2. The appropriation made for the capital improvement project authorized by this Act shall not lapse at the end of the fiscal biennium for which the appropriation is made; provided that all moneys from the appropriation unencumbered as of June 30, 2026, shall lapse as of that date.
SECTION 3. The sums appropriated for the respective capital improvement projects set forth in section 1 shall be expended for the purpose of this Act by the department of education.
SECTION 4. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2024.
