A BILL FOR AN ACT
relating to the hawaii public housing authority.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
"§356D- Pet
animals. (a)
The authority shall not prohibit any tenant of any housing under its
control from keeping a pet animal in the tenant's dwelling unit; provided that nothing
herein shall be construed as prohibiting the authority from imposing reasonable
pet animal fees or deposits or pet animal noise restrictions.
(b) As used in this section, "pet
animal" shall have the same meaning as in section 711-1100."
SECTION 2. New statutory material is underscosred.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
