A BILL FOR AN ACT
RELATING TO THE HAWAII TOURISM AUTHORITY.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Section 201B-2, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is amended by amending subsection (c) to read as follows:
"(c)
Members
shall be appointed by the governor for terms of four years; provided that
membership on the board shall not exceed eight consecutive years; provided
further that each member shall [hold office until the member's successor is
appointed and qualified.] not continue as a holdover member beyond the
beginning of the next regular legislative session, following the expiration of
the member's term."
SECTION 2. Statutory material to be repealed is bracketed and stricken. New statutory material is underscored.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
