A BILL FOR AN ACT
RELATING TO HEALTH.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. There is appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii the sum of $2,000,000 or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2023-2024 and the same sum or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2024-2025 for the department of health to reimburse each civilian household in Iroquois Point, and any other affected area, $1,000 for costs incurred due to the 2021-2022 Red Hill water contamination.
The sums appropriated shall be expended by the department of health for the purposes of this Act.
SECTION 2. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2023.
