            SECTION 1.  Senate Bill No. 1511, S.D. 2, H.D. 2, C.D. 1, section 9, is amended by amending page 17, lines 5 to 9, to read as follows:

 

     "SECTION 9.  This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2024; provided that the amendments made to section 304A-3003, Hawaii Revised Statutes, by section 4 of this Act shall apply only to contracts entered into by the research corporation of the university of Hawaii after June 30, 2024."
