The purpose of this briefing is to update the Committee and the public on the
status, goals, and objectives of the State of Hawai‘i Department of Human
Services’ Section 1115 Demonstration Renewal application being submitted to the
Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. Significant in this renewal
application are new requests for Medicaid matching funds related to:
· Housing related services;
· Continuous eligibility for children;
· Contingency management for Medicaid beneficiaries with substance use disorder;
· Pre-release Medicaid services for justice-involved individuals;
· Nutrition supports;
· Native Hawaiian traditional healing practices;
·
Infrastructure funding to support capacity building and
implementation of
health-related social need services; &
· Designated State Health Programs.
The
following persons from the Med-QUEST Division of the Hawai‘i Department of
Human Services have been invited to participate:
1. Judy Mohr Peterson, Ph.D., Med-QUEST Administrator;
2. Ranjani R. Starr, Ph.D., MPH, Health Analytics & Informatics Administrator; &
3. Meredith R. Nichols, Assistant Division Administrator.
