On Thursday, January 27, 2022, the US Navy and Hawaii Department of Health (DOH) signed the Red Hill Shaft Recovery and Monitoring Plan (RHSRMP). The overall goal of this plan is to recover and remediate the Red Hill Shaft drinking water quality and quantity for the people of Hawaii while causing no further harm to human or environmental health.

Representatives of the DOH, Navy, Dept. of Land and Natural Resources Commission on Water Resource Management (DLNR CWRM), Honolulu Board of Water Supply (BWS), and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) will attend, brief the joint committees on the plan, and be available for questions thereafter.

No public testimony will be accepted.
