      Status & Testimony

RELATING TO VIRTUAL CURRENCY.

Allows the Director of Finance to authorize any state agency to enter into virtual currency payment agreements with persons or virtual currency issuers to provide the acceptance of convertible virtual currency as a means of payment.  Allows any state agency that enters into a virtual currency payment agreement with a person or virtual currency issuer as authorized by the Director of Finance to accept convertible virtual currency.

      Status & Testimony

RELATING TO SUSTAINABLE ELECTRONICS MANAGEMENT.

Requires state departments and agencies to transfer certain electronic devices to the Department of Accounting and General Services, which may refurbish and distribute these devices to eligible entities in the State or eligible private persons, as determined by rule.

      Status & Testimony

RELATING TO GOVERNMENT OPERATIONS.

Establishes the Director of Business, Economic Development, and Tourism, or a designee of the Director, as an ex-officio, voting member of the Hawaii Tourism Authority and the School Facilities Authority Board.  Transfers the Stadium Authority and the School Facilities Authority from the Department of Accounting and General Services and Department of Education, respectively, to the Department of Business, Economic Development, and Tourism.  Requires that administrative expenses incurred for the stadium development special fund be deducted.  Increases the amount of general obligation bonds that may be issued for the Stadium Development District.
