The Committees will meet to continue the hearing started on Friday, January 28, 2022 on the measures listed below. The committees were unable to complete the hearing on Friday due to time constraints. Additional testimony will not be accepted.

      Status & Testimony

RELATING TO ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT STATEMENTS.

Exempts the proposed drilling, construction, or use of a well on lands leased from the Department of Agriculture from the requirements of the environmental impact statements law, provided that the land is being used to support agriculture and food production.

SB 2064

      Status & Testimony

RELATING TO KOA TREES.

Requires the Board of Land and Natural Resources to identify all private and public lands suitable for the planting of koa trees.  Authorizes the Administrator of Forestry and Wildlife to issue licenses to plant, care for, and harvest koa trees in certain circumstances.

      Status & Testimony

RELATING TO FISHING.

Prohibits the possession or use of unmanned aerial vehicles in state waters for purposes of fishing.
