A BILL FOR AN ACT
RELATING TO THE CREATIVE WORKFORCE.
BE IT
ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. The purpose of this Act is to appropriate funds to the state foundation on culture and the arts biennium grants program for the awarding of grants to individuals and organizations that promote employment opportunities for creative workers throughout the State, for the promotion and furtherance of culture and the arts and history and the humanities pursuant to part II of chapter 9, Hawaii Revised Statutes.
SECTION 2. There is appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii the sum of $200,000 or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2022-2023 for the state foundation on culture and the arts biennium grants program for the purpose of the awarding of grants to individuals and organizations that promote employment opportunities for creative workers throughout the State.
The sum appropriated shall be expended by the state foundation on culture and the arts for the purposes of this Act.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2022.
