A BILL FOR AN ACT
relating to community colleges.
BE IT
ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Chapter 304A, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is amended by adding a new section to part IV, subpart A, to be appropriately designated and to read as follows:
"§304A- On-campus housing. The
board of regents shall have authority to permit community college campuses to lease
land or buildings to any not-for-profit organization for the purpose of developing
rental units for students or employees."
SECTION 2. New statutory material is underscored.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
