SENATE FLOOR AMENDMENT

SECTION 1. Senate Bill No. 2185, S.D. 2, section 1, is amended by deleting language on page 1, line 2, from the word "Fireworks-related" through page 2, line 6, to the word "holders", and replacing it with the following:
"The purpose of this Act is to:
(1) Require the fireworks and articles pyrotechnic records auditor for each county to submit an annual report to the legislature detailing inventory, recordkeeping, and sales of fireworks to license or permit holders; and
(2) Make a grant-in-aid to each county's fire department to cover costs associated with reporting the information to the legislature."
SECTION 2. Senate Bill No. 2185, S.D. 2, is amended by deleting section 2.
SECTION 3. Senate Bill No. 2185, S.D. 2, is amended by renumbering section 3 as section 2.
SECTION 4. Senate Bill No. 2185, S.D. 2, is amended by inserting a new section 3 to read:
"SECTION 3. There is appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii the sum of $ or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2022-2023 as a grant-in-aid for the purpose of reporting the information required by section 2 of this Act, to be allocated to the counties as follows:
(1) $ to the city and county of Honolulu;
(2) $ to the county of Maui;
(3) $ to the county of Hawaii; and
(4) $ to the county of Kauai."
SECTION 5. Senate Bill No. 2185, S.D. 2, is amended by amending section 4 to read:
"SECTION 4. New statutory material is underscored."
SECTION 6. Senate Bill No. 2185, S.D. 2, is amended by amending section 5 to read:
"SECTION 5. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2050."
