A BILL FOR AN ACT
RELATING TO CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS FOR SCHOOLS IN THE FORTY-FIFTH REPRESENTATIVE DISTRICT.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. The following sums, or so much thereof as shall be sufficient to finance the projects listed in this Act, are hereby appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii for fiscal year 2022-2023:
1. Kipapa elementary school, Oahu
A. Air conditioning for classrooms and portables

B. Air conditioning for cafeteria
Design $150,000
Construction $350,000
Total funding $500,000
C. Covered play court
Design $900,000
Construction $2,100,000

2. Leilehua high school, Oahu
A. New building construction, equipment, and furniture for administrative facility

3. Mililani high school, Oahu
A. Consolidated career and technical education building

D. Renovation of the existing serving kitchen into offices and a conference room for counselors, including air conditioning

A. Plans, design, and construction of the old library building for renovation into an auditorium, study area, offices, and teacher's lounge

A. New rubber track to replace the old dirt track for track and field, cross country, and physical education

C. New men and women's restroom at the football stadium

SECTION 2. The sums appropriated for the respective capital projects set forth in section 1 shall be expended by the designated expending agency for the purposes of this Act.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2022.
