A BILL FOR AN ACT

RELATING TO LAND.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

SECTION 1. The purpose of this Act is to transfer the parcel of land designated as TMK (1) 3-2-030-002-0000-000 to the department of Hawaiian home lands.

SECTION 2. Notwithstanding any law to the contrary, the fee simple interest in the parcel of land designated as TMK (1) 3-2-030-002-0000-000 with the existing improvements thereon, shall be conveyed to the department of Hawaiian home lands by the appropriate state agency that currently holds the fee simple interest to the parcel.

SECTION 3. There is appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii the sum of $           or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2022-2023 for condemnation proceedings to transfer relevant land from the University of Hawaii to the department of Hawaiian home lands.

The sum appropriated shall be expended by the department of Hawaiian home lands for the purposes of this Act.

SECTION 4. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2050.
