A BILL FOR AN ACT

relating to public ACCOMMODATIONS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

SECTION 1. Chapter 489, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is amended by adding a new section to part I to be appropriately designated and to read as follows:

"§489- Shopping centers; public restrooms. A shopping center having fifteen or more retail tenants shall have no less than one restroom that shall be available to the public."

SECTION 2. New statutory material is underscored.

SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on January 1, 2022.
