For 37 years, Representative Morikawa has been actively involved with Kaua'i's communities through 
her work with the County of Kaua'i.  From her early career within Kauai's Department of Parks & 
Recreation, efforts volunteering in numerous community projects, and coaching youth & high school 
sports, Representative Morikawa has proven her personal values such as community involvement & 
sacrifice and profound commitment to better lives within our community.

In the past 9 years, as Representative of House District 16, Dee has served in her capacity as 
Vice Chair to the House Committee on Health and been a member of the House Finance, Human Services, 
Housing, and Judiciary Committees. Representative Morikawa presently serves on the committee of 
Lower & Higher Education. And she has proudly served within House Leadership as the Assistant 
Majority Leader and is currently the House Majority Floor Leader.

Representative Morikawa will continue to improve the public's health, safety and quality of 
education for Kaua'i and the State of Hawai'i.
