1. Call to order, Working Group introductions

 

2. Approval of minutes of hearings August 16, 2021 and August 23, 2021

 

3. Working Group discussion of potential remedies, including legislation, fulfill the Working Group's purpose in accordance with Act 139 (SLH 2021).

 

The Act 90 Working Group is created to determine the challenges and potential remedies necessary to fulfill the purposes of Act 90 (SLH 2003). The purpose of Act 90 (SLH 2003) is "to ensure the long-term productive use of public lands leased or available to be leased by the Department of Land and Natural Resources [DLNR] for agricultural purposes by allowing these lands to be transferred to and managed by the Department of Agriculture [DOA]," and which required agricultural lands not designated as agricultural park lands be transferred from DLNR to DOA upon the Departments' mutual agreement.

All written testimony will be distributed to Working Group members and publicly archived on the legislative website.

 

Persons wishing to submit written testimony are requested to submit their comments at least 24 hours prior to the hearing to allow members time to read testimony prior to the meeting. Testimony received within 24 hours of the scheduled meeting time will be stamped as "late" and may not be reviewed by Working Group members prior to the meeting, but will be retained in the public record.

 

The Working Group may institute a per-person time limit for live testimony, as necessary.
