1. Call to order, Working Group introductions

 

2. Transfer Process:

Department of Agriculture (DOA) and Department of Land and Natural Resources (DLNR) present information and take Working Group questions related to departmental processes to determine whether lands are eligible for transfer from DLNR to DOA in accordance with Act 90 (SLH 2003), which requires agricultural lands not designated as agricultural park lands be transferred from DLNR to DOA upon the Departments' mutual agreement.

 

3. Status of Transfers:

DOA and DLNR present information and take Working Group questions on the status of land transfers completed, ongoing, or considered under Act 90 (SLH 2003).

 

4. Status of Lands:

DOA and DLNR present information and take Working Group questions on the current management of agricultural lands under each of their jurisdictions.

 

5. Announcement of next meeting:

On Monday, Aug. 23, 2021, 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m., the Working Group will convene for a Lessee Testimony Hearing, at which DLNR and DOA lessees are invited to share their experiences with each of the Departments' lease management programs.

 

6. Adjournment

 

 

All written testimony will be distributed to Working Group members and publicly archived on the legislative website.

 

Persons wishing to submit written testimony are requested to do so at least 24 hours prior to the hearing to allow Working Group members time to read testimony prior to the meeting. Testimony received within 24 hours of the scheduled meeting time will be stamped as "late" and may not be reviewed by Working Group members prior to the meeting, but will be retained in the public record.

 

The Working Group may institute a per-person time limit for live testimony, as necessary.
