A BILL FOR AN ACT

RELATING TO THE DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN SERVICES.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

SECTION 1. Chapter 346, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is amended by adding a new section to part XX to be appropriately designated and to read as follows:

"§346- All-claims, all-payer data center steering committee. (a) There is established within the department of human services an all-claims, all-payer data center steering committee.

(b) The all-claims, all-payer data center steering committee shall oversee and provide direction for the all-claims, all-payer database and data center within the health analytics program established in section 346-421.

(c) The all-claims, all-payer data center steering committee shall comprise the following members:

(1) The director of health, or the director's designee;

(2) The insurance commissioner, or the commissioner's designee;

(3) The director of finance, or the director's designee;

(4) The chief information officer, or the chief information officer's designee;

(5) The Med-QUEST division administrator, or the administrator's designee;

(6) The president of the university of Hawaii, or the president's designee; and

(7) The chairperson of the board of trustees of the employer-union health benefits trust fund, or the chairperson's designee."

SECTION 2. New statutory material is underscored.

SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2050.
