The Committee will meet to continue the hearing started on Thursday, February 6, 2020 on the measures listed below. The Committee was unable to complete the hearing on February 6th due to time constraints. Additional written and verbal testimony will be accepted, but if you already submitted testimony for the February 6th hearing, you do NOT need to re-submit your testimony.

      Status & Testimony

RELATING TO TRANSIT-ORIENTED DEVELOPMENT.

Appropriates funds for planning a mixed-use residential development, including 1 or more parking structures, on the land currently occupied by the Waipahu Civic Center.

SB 3113

      Status & Testimony

RELATING TO HOUSING.

Directs the HPHA to convey a specified 15.418-acre parcel in Honokaa, Hawaii county, to HHFDC.  Requires HHFDC to conduct a feasibility study to determine whether the parcel is suitable for residential development.  Appropriates funds for the feasibility study.

      Status & Testimony

RELATING TO LAND USE.

Authorizes county land use decision-making authorities to amend district boundaries involving land areas greater than fifteen but no more than thirty acres in the urban district without consideration of the land use commission if at least sixty per cent of the land is used to develop affordable housing.
