RELATING TO HEALTH.

Repeals the spending ceiling for moneys in the civil monetary penalty special fund for use by the Department of Health for Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services-approved compliance activities.  Appropriates funds to DOH for the establishment of a medicare administrator position.  Effective 7/1/2050.  (SD1)

RELATING TO HEALTH.

Authorizes the Director of Health, upon consultation with and authorization from the Governor, to screen, test, and monitor travelers.  Provides for penalties for noncompliance.  Amends and adds definitions and procedural and administrative provisions in chapter 325, Hawaii Revised Statutes.  Establishes a travelers screening special fund.  Repeals the statutory prohibitions on the use of telephone services as part of telehealth coverage, under certain conditions.  Provides an appropriation.  Effective 7/1/2050.  Sunsets certain provisions on 6/30/2025.  (SD1)

RELATING TO THE OFFICE OF PLANNING.

Updates and reaffirms the role of the office of planning (OP) to coordinate among state agencies regarding climate change adaptation and sustainability.  Establishes a statewide sustainability branch within OP.  (SD1)
