RELATING TO PUBLIC SAFETY. Authorizes the Director of Public Safety to withhold certain information regarding deaths at correctional facilities or community correctional centers. Requires the director to include in the report regarding the death that is submitted to the governor the decedent's name and a description of the circumstances and cause of death of the individual. Takes effect 6/18/2050. (SD1)

RELATING TO DISASTER RELIEF. Extends the lapse date of the appropriation for disaster relief to address flooding in Kauai and in other areas of the State made by Act 12, Session Laws of Hawaii 2018, to June 30, 2021. Changes the appropriation amounts made by Act 12, Session Laws of Hawaii 2018, to unspecified amounts. Effective 7/1/2050. (SD1)

Requires statewide inventories of hospitals, dialysis centers, and medical facilities; satellite phones; and generators to provide backup power. Persons wishing to offer comments should submit testimony at least 24 hours prior to the hearing. Testimony should indicate:
· Testifier's name with position/title and organization;
· The Committee(s) to which the comments are directed;
· The date and time of the hearing; and
· Measure number.
While every effort will be made to incorporate all testimony received, materials received on the day of the hearing or improperly identified or directed, may be distributed to the Committee after the hearing.

Testimony submitted will be placed on the legislative website. This public posting of testimony on the website should be considered when including personal information in your testimony.
