RELATING TO FIRE PROTECTION. Requires the builders of new dwellings to provide buyers with information on the benefits and costs associated with installing and maintaining a residential fire sprinkler system. Requires the Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs Professional and Vocational Licensing Division to develop a standard form for this purpose.

RELATING TO THE STATE FIRE CODE. Amends the process for adoption of the state fire code to conform with other Hawaii state building codes.

RELATING TO FIRE PROTECTION. Establishes a tax credit of 30% of the actual cost, including installation, materials, water and permitting fees, and any related charges, of an automatic fire sprinkler system in any one- and two-family dwelling in a structure used only for residential purposes. Sunsets 6/30/2030.
