RELATING TO MEDICAL CANNABIS. Prohibits an employer from discriminating against a person in hiring, termination, or condition of employment based on the person's status as a medical cannabis cardholder, under certain conditions. Specifies that an employer may use a fit for duty test as a tool for medical cannabis users in potentially dangerous occupations. Exempts certain occupations. Effective 1/2/2050. (SD2)

RELATING TO THE HAWAII RETIREMENT SAVINGS PROGRAM. Establishes the Hawaii Retirement Savings Program task force, tasked with evaluating a retirement savings plan for non-government employees and reports findings and recommendations to the Legislature. Appropriates funds. Task force dissolves on 3/15/2021. Effective 7/1/2050. (SD2)

RELATING TO STATE PROCUREMENT OF WIFI AND INTERNET SERVICES. Requires that all state and state funded facilities have internet computer and wireless access filters to restrict access to pornography sites. Exempts state-owned housing and dormitories. (SD2)

RELATING TO EMPLOYMENT PRACTICES. Prohibits an employer from requiring an employee to enter into a nondisclosure agreement pertaining to sexual harassment or sexual assault. Prohibits an employer from retaliating against an employee for disclosing or discussing sexual harassment or sexual assault. (SD2)

RELATING TO REIMBURSEMENTS FOR STATE CONTRIBUTIONS. Specifies exemptions for the University of Hawaii from sections 87A-39 and 88-125, Hawaii Revised Statutes, to enhance transparency and accountability regarding fringe benefit reimbursement exemptions under the cost-sharing agreement between the University of Hawaii and Department of Budget and Finance. Effective 7/1/2050. (SD2)

RELATING TO THE UNIFORM EMPLOYEE AND STUDENT ONLINE PRIVACY PROTECTION ACT. Establishes The Uniform Employee and Student Online Privacy Protection Act that adopts uniform laws on protecting the online accounts of employees, prospective employees, unpaid interns, applicants, students, and prospective students from employers and educational institutions. DECISION MAKING TO FOLLOW
Persons wishing to offer comments should submit testimony at least 24 hours prior to the hearing. Testimony should indicate:
· Testifier's name with position/title and organization;
· The Committee(s) to which the comments are directed;
· The date and time of the hearing; and
· Measure number.
While every effort will be made to incorporate all testimony received, materials received on the day of the hearing or improperly identified or directed, may be distributed to the Committee after the hearing.

Testimony submitted will be placed on the legislative website. This public posting of testimony on the website should be considered when including personal information in your testimony.
