RELATING TO THE UNIVERSITY OF HAWAII.

Establishes, and appropriates funds for, a network improvement community task force to develop a K-12 science, technology, engineering, and mathematics teacher education degree for the University of Hawaii.  Appropriates funds for the office of international and regional partnerships of the University of Hawaii Maui college for study abroad programs.  Takes effect on 7/1/2050.  (HD1)

RELATING TO TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER AT THE UNIVERSITY OF HAWAII.

Extends the sunset provision in Act 38, Session Laws of Hawaii 2017, for certain exemptions from the Ethics Code as related to UH technology transfer from 6/30/2022 to 6/30/2025.  Takes effect on July 1, 2050.  (HD2)

RELATING TO THE CONFERENCE CENTER REVOLVING FUND.

Expands the scope of the University of Hawaii at Hilo conference center revolving fund to all programs conducted by the University of Hawaii at Hilo.  Requires an annual report to the Legislature regarding the fund.  Gives the chancellor of the University of Hawaii at Hilo, rather than the dean of the college of continuing education and community service, authority to expend moneys from the fund.  Takes effect on 7/1/2050.  (HD1)

RELATING TO CRIMINAL HISTORY RECORD CHECKS.

Allows the University of Hawaii to conduct criminal history record checks on current or prospective employees, and contractors and their employees, whose duties include ensuring security of campus facilities and persons.  Takes effect on July 1, 2050.  (HD1)
