Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred S.B. No. 3119, S.D. 1, H.D. 1, entitled:

"A BILL FOR AN ACT RELATING TO STATUTORY REVISION: AMENDING OR REPEALING VARIOUS PROVISIONS OF THE HAWAII REVISED STATUTES OR THE SESSION LAWS OF HAWAII FOR THE PURPOSES OF CORRECTING ERRORS AND REFERENCES, CLARIFYING LANGUAGE, OR DELETING OBSOLETE OR UNNECESSARY PROVISIONS,"

begs leave to report as follows:

The purpose of this measure is to amend or repeal various provisions of the Hawaii Revised Statutes or the Session Laws of Hawaii for the purposes of correcting errors and references, clarifying language, or deleting obsolete or unnecessary provisions.

Your Committee received written comments in support of this measure from the Legislative Reference Bureau.

Your Committee finds that this statutory revision measure is submitted by the Legislative Reference Bureau pursuant to Chapter 23G, Hawaii Revised Statutes. All of the statutory amendments proposed by this measure are intended to be technical in nature to correct errors, omissions, or obsolete laws.

Your Committee has amended this measure by making technical nonsubstantive amendments for purposes of clarity, consistency, and style.

As affirmed by the record of votes of the members of your Committee on Finance that is attached to this report, your Committee is in accord with the intent and purpose of S.B. No. 3119, S.D. 1, H.D. 1, as amended herein, and recommends that it pass Third Reading in the form attached hereto as S.B. No. 3119, S.D. 1, H.D. 2.
