"A BILL FOR AN ACT RELATING TO CLEAN AND RENEWABLE ENERGY JOBS,"

The purpose of this measure is to create jobs that advance the State's goals of achieving greater energy security and adapting to climate change.

Your Committee received testimony in support of this measure from the Land Use Research Foundation of Hawaii, Sierra Club of Hawaii, IMUAlliance, Young Progressives Demanding Action, Climate Protectors Coalition, 350Hawaii.org, Hawaii Youth Climate Coalition, and numerous individuals. Your Committee received comments on this measure from the Hawaii State Energy Office and Pono Hawaii Initiative.

As affirmed by the record of votes of the members of your Committee on Finance that is attached to this report, your Committee is in accord with the intent and purpose of H.B. No. 1934, H.D. 1, and recommends that it pass Third Reading.
