Your Committee on Legislative Management, to which was referred H.B. No. 1629 entitled:

"A BILL FOR AN ACT RELATING TO GOVERNMENT SERVICES,"

The purpose of this measure is to clarify the term of office of the Legislative Analyst and certain benefits available to employees of the Office of the Legislative Analyst.

Your Committee did not receive any testimony on this measure.

Your Committee finds that this measure is a housekeeping measure to clarify the term of office of the Legislative Analyst, established pursuant to section 21F-6, Hawaii Revised Statutes, and to clarify employee participation in certain benefit plans.

As affirmed by the record of votes of the members of your Committee on Legislative Management that is attached to this report, your Committee is in accord with the intent and purpose of H.B. No. 1629 and recommends that it pass Second Reading and be referred to your Committee on Finance.
